Sarah Appleman loves helping children discover the magic in everyday moments. After years of working with kids as a pediatric occupational therapist, she now brings her love of play, imagination, and learning to the pages of her picture books.
Inspired by the joy, imagination, and resilience she’s witnessed in children throughout her career, Sarah now writes playful, heartwarming picture books designed especially for preschoolers.
Through her stories, she hopes to spark curiosity, encourage empathy, and celebrate the magic of everyday life.
When she’s not writing or working with families, you’ll find Sarah at home in sunny San Diego, enjoying time with her husband, their two children, and the family’s two lovable dogs – often the source of inspiration for her storytelling adventures.
